A Letter about the Election

Hi. My name is T (not his real name). I live in Champaign, Illinois, but most of my family is from East Saint Louis, Illinois. I'm 8 years-old and I like to watch TV. I go to a school named Canaan Academy. I'm writing a letter because I need to express how I feel about the election.

The election makes me feel bad when I think of it. It makes me feel this way because I don't like this President. I don't like him because he calls women names and he is a racist. He is also a hypocrite. A hypocrite is someone who tells someone to stop doing something and then turns around and does it themselves. He says to not mess or like immigrants and may put up a wall but then he turns around and marries one, Melania.

If Donald Trump doesn't think about the laws he wants to make before he makes them, then in the future he could regret it and something bad could happen. I think we will struggle with our lives because of the laws he might make. He might make laws that are already made and make them into stuff that is worse. I think he will break the promises he made to people. Like, you cannot be friends with a person who is not born in the U.S. or be friends with a person who has a different religion than you. I think America will be horrible and that is how I feel about the election.
