Ohio University professor Bill Reader has been doing heavy research into creating a framework to build off of for further research into community journalism. In order to continue to research into how community journalism affects the community, groundwork needs to be laid out. There are multiple types of journalism that all work together to be able to get news to people as efficiently and effectively as possible. Community journalism focuses on the applied practice of journalism from communities producing news specifically for those communities.
